Compared with the traditional spindleless veneer lathe, the principle of TNB spindleless veneer lathe is similar to the spindle veneer lathe. It has multiple advantages, such as:

1. The yield rate of veneer is increased by 3-5%

  • 90% of the veneer surface uniformity is±0.05-0.06mm, which is ±0.1-0.15mm from traditional spindleless veneer lathe, and the yield is increased by about 3%

  • With the same wood and the same peeling thickness, the veneer is about 2-4% longer than the veneer peeled by normal spindleless veneer lathe.

2. Veneer drying efficiency: increased by 10-15%

  • Heat saving: 5-8%

  • Veneer shrinkage: reduced by 2-3% after drying

The veneer is smoother and has lower deformation, moisture content, therefore the stress concentration of the veneer can be avoided, which reduces the veneer craze degree effectively.

3. Smoother Veneer Surface Quality

The veneer surface is smoother and softer, with less and light brushing (chicken feet pattern)

4. Enhanced Machine Durability

The machine is more durable. Due to the smaller peeling compression force, the durability of wearing parts such as single and double roller bearings, screw nuts, etc. are improved significantly, and the fatigue resistance of structural components such as the machine body are enhanced

5. Energy Saving

  • The peeling compression force is small, so the power consumption decreases 20-30%, and reduce the electricity costs.

  • Good uniformity and overall flatness of veneer, which can reduce the cost of plywood production in the later process, such as improving the efficiency of jointer, reducing the grinding amount of sanding machines, reducing the working load of hot presses, etc.
