Plywood is a flexible and commonly utilized material across multiple industries, such as construction and furniture production. The process of making plywood includes drying veneer sheets until they reach the desired moisture level. Recently, veneer dryers have become essential in improving the efficiency of plywood production. This article delves into the advantages and importance of veneer dryers in the production of plywood.
Veneer makers can choose from a wide variety of plants and machinery from MuTian to produce veneer. Our machinery is made to guarantee the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the production of plywood veneer and furniture.
From single drier plants with manual feeders to entire veneer drying lines equipped with scanners, stacking systems, and automatic feeders, we have it all. We provide the wood manufacturing industry with cutting edge veneer drying technology that achieves optimal energy efficiency.
These veneers are utilized in the furniture industry, on boats, in hospitality establishments, and for various interior design needs. Veneers that have been peeled and dried on our drying lines are utilized in the production of plywood and LVL (laminated veneer lumber).
"We chose MuTian because their team possesses significant expertise in veneer drying. MuTian's expertise and assistance have supported our innovation journey. Several attempts were needed before the best result was achieved, but drying 3.55 mm beech veneer is a skill that is not easy to learn."

Our feeder systems are created with the intention of fulfilling particular veneer production needs. Feeding can be either semi-automatic or fully automatic. The system powered by a vacuum lifts and moves wet veneer sheets quickly to the dryer.
Veneer is dried evenly across the full width of the dryer and on every level, using precise air distribution for consistency. Our collection consists of belt dryers, roller dryers for peeled veneers, and press dryers for smooth and flat decorative veneers.
Vacuum belts in the stacking line carry the dried veneers to different stacking stations based on their quality grades. The amount of stacking stations required is determined by the quantity of quality grades desired by the customer. There are a variety of automated options for transporting and handling the dry stacks of veneer.
Continuous veneer quality monitoring is made possible by the in-line moisture and thickness detecting system, which can be utilized either upstream or downstream from the dryer. Via non-contact sensors, veneer moisture and thickness can be simultaneously monitored right after veneer peeling. As a result, the dryer's energy input can be optimally controlled by detecting the veneer's moisture level. Trends can be displayed using the gathered data as well.
MuTian has created various dryers for drying pine veneer, poplar veneer, beech veneer, birch veneer, etc. Feel free to reach out for any inquiries regarding board drying.
