Log Selection and Processing for Poplar

Poplar logs are chosen according to straightness, diameter consistency and low defect rate. The logs are then conditioned to equilibrate moisture content and soften wood fibers for better peeling performance after debarking and cutting.

Spindleless Feeding and Centering System

The TNB spindleless peeler machine employs a hydraulic or roller feeding system rather than standard spindles. It caters better implementation of full-log support, greater stability and enhanced utilization rate as compared to fast-growing poplar wood.

Control of thickness: 3.6mm veneer

The machine blade system is set to uphold a continuous and consistent thickness of 3.6mm. The horse's power, the knife's angle and pressure are all controlled in real-time, resulting in the same veneer across the entire sheet with minimal variation.

High-Speed Continuous Peeling Process

The machine then rotates, which allows the poplar to be peeled into continuous sheets of veneer. Thanks to the spindleless design, vibrations are minimized and make the surface quality cleaner with much less cracks or breaks while producing.

Automatic Veneer Collection and Cutting

The peel is then cut into the standard size (3.6mm veneer) and sorted to stacking or drying systems automatically. That enhances efficiency and minimizes manual handling in large manufacturing lines of plywood.

Industrial Advantage in Plywood Manufacturing

– TNB spindleless peeler machines are used in modern plywood factories around the world, with a high yield and very stable thickness control suitable for softwood such as poplar. These process supporting efficient veneer production for furniture-grade, and construction plywood applications.
