Eucalyptus Logs

Eucaliptus is one of the wood species most commonly used for veneer peeling. It is a high-density, rapidly renewable and consistently available material from plantation forests. Due to its high uniformity and veneer smoothness as well as high recovery, when processed e.g. with a tenderized spindleless veneer peeler eucalyptus is an ideal raw material for plywood and LVL production.

Poplar Logs

Poplar is one of the widely used species due to its straight grain, softer wood structure and good peeling performance. It provides light color and even thickness with smooth surfaces, which works as a good material for plywood core veneer, furniture panels and decorative boards.

Pine Logs

Bent plywood pine is one of the most common softwood species for veneer manufacture. Straight fibers and a stable structure permit efficient peeling without major defects. Pine veneer is a major component of construction plywood, packaging panels and an extensive range of engineered wood products.

Rubberwood and Birch Logs

While rubberwood is desired for its sustainable source and ease of working, birch has a fine grain suitable for a high-grade decorative surface. Both species yield a dense, satin-finish veneer that is usable in high-end plywood production with furniture and ornamental panels.

Use Logs Suitable For The Best Quality veneers

Logs best suited for veneer peeling should be straight, generally same-sized in diameter and free from excessive knots, crazing, decayed wood or insect damage. Preparation through proper log conditioning or tenderizing prior to peeling also results in improved veneer recovery, surface quality and thickness consistency as they help manufacturers achieve higher productivity leading to enhanced finished plywood quality.
