You will need the right foundation and machine installation
Foundation:A firm, even foundation should be made for the veneer peeling machine. Stable chassis design reduces vibration during high- speed operation, while the weighting machine can also accurately peel to a specified thickness. The structure is stable after long-term use without the need for frequent calibration.
Proper Alignment of Feed System
Alignment of the log feeding system (spindle or spindleless rollers) is key. Lack of proper alignment can result in uneven rotation, differences in thickness, and unnecessary wear on the cutting elements.
Knife and Nose Bar Calibration
Prior to the start of at work, you must calibrate the peeling knife and nose bar. Additionally, controlling the clearance ensures smooth and stable cutting, veneer thickness & a lower occurrence of fiber tears during the operation.
Electrical and PLC Setup
Newer machines are driven with a PLC or even a servo control. Based on logs and a target veneer thickness, operators will set parameters including feed speed, knife position (i.e. angled or parallel), and cutting pressure.
Try with sample logs
Before launching into full production, run a test. It aids in checking for thickness, feeding stability, and surface quality to make fine adjustments before running continuously.
Veneer production line
The construction of peeling machine must be integrated with the conveyors, veneer cutters and stacking systems. Well controlled movement of material maintains the integrity of freshly fabricated veneer, and enhances productivity.
Operator training and maintenance set up
A well-trained operator also makes for machines that constantly run as intended. Maintaining hydraulic systems, rollers and blades is essential for long life and reducing downtime in plywood production.
